Last night we went to the new Parq Casino in Vancouver. Wow! Is what I’ve got to say. The other two couples we were with kept comparing it to Las Vegas! It’s definitely cleaner than Vegas but no where near as big or as grand as any of the major hotels there. It just opened two months ago so it’s modern and there’s no smoking inside so the air quality wasn’t nasty. This place is something we were lacking in Vancouver. After the crazy process that the developer had to go through (petition involved), I’d say it was definitely worth it. They hired so many people too which probably helped lots of families!
I’m not a gambler, I wasn’t there to gamble but we did enjoy a delicious dinner at Salt Honey followed by a massive dessert that we all shared! On the top floor, there’s a rooftop lounge which had an older crowd. There’s a hidden room behind a bookshelf where you can host private events! The elevator up was pretty trippy too. There was lots of different characters throughout the casino. It was pleasing to see, compared to all the little kids you see around town. The whole place was so tastefully done, it was really quite the experience in our Vancouver. Salt Honey had two different themes happening for decor but it worked so well!
I just took the one picture of our dessert, even though there was plenty of opportunity for some beautiful shots. Sometimes I enjoy living in the moment and want to just soak it all in instead of being behind the camera constantly. Sometimes I’ll take my husbands pictures to post on this blog.
Anyway, definitely a place to goto!
